In this inaugural episode of No Stairway, your hosts discuss what makes the perfect party playlist. What is a party like around their houses? Well, it transpires that Bill is down with the kids, Tim is actively trying to alienate the kids and Carl just wants to sit the kids down in the corner and lecture them on the failures of capitalism. If they don’t sound like three absolutely riveting evenings, then I don’t know what does.
Along the way the boys discuss the enduring charm of Andrew WK, whether Tim’s inescapable narcissism is actually that much of a problem and make the very first additions to the Golden Shuffle – the ever-growing greatest non-sequenced selection of music ever made.
Be warned that there is some swearing here, and some spoilers for the final episode of the Sopranos.

So, put on your red shoes and get ready to dance the blues, the trip-hops, the electro-pops, and the Australian glam rocks. It sounds weird but trust me, in context it’s really quite entertaining.

Can’t believe Tim’s ‘party’ titled playlist missed the opening two tracks of Queen’s The Miracle (Party/Kashoggi’s Ship) which narrates pretty much how nine year old me expected all parties to be. Unfortunately I became very disappointed in the majority of parties attended.

Sadly they didn’t fit the narrative of the evening, but I’ll bear those in mind for the hungover/morning after playlist, watch this space.
